It builds you up the way Ox builds his own family out of the Bennet pack. Wolfsong is brilliant in all it’s heartbreaking glory. They make mistakes and they break and they hurt, but they fight till the end. A staggering flaw to the story and it’s characters. Because within the hilarity of the characters, within the heartbreak, within the eccentricity his words, there’s a ringing truth to the characters. I love his characters, I love his worlds, I love his plots, I love his stories. And I love TJ Klune’s words, every single time. The ones that stay with you, the ones that impact you with it’s simplicity and honesty. I love words, and I specially love resounding sentences. I knew this when i t was all about candy canes and pinecones and epic and awesome. I knew this when all I wanted was to be back in that break room and reading about a kid named Ox who deserved the world. I knew this when my 30 minute lunch break at work was over. I knew this when the first chapter moved me. I knew this when the first couple of sentences rendered me with a lump that would not budge. I have love this book, and I have hated it, and I hope I could give it the justice it deserves. Except now he’s a man, and Ox can no longer ignore the song that howls between them.
